Has been a very long time since my last post. Of course nothing much has really happened since, except for, you know, spending a thrilling 2 months in a german winter, starting year 11 and all other things good.
So, on a Friday night, I am at home. Not completely alone, as was previously expected, because I am dog-sitting for the next 2 days. My lovely uncle decided to take my sister and his daughter away up the coast for the weekend, so I get to mind George, who is currently scratching my back door.
Mum is off at bible study with her friends, while Dad is at the football with his friends. So, instead of being somewhere exciting with my friends, I'm sitting at my dining room table, attempting to type this while watching Titanic. Not an easy job, as the constant images of Jack and Rose leaning over the railing of the ship, accompanied by Celine Dion, are slightly.....(insert own adjective in here, depending on your view of the movie.)
At my flute lesson this afternoon (my lack of social life is slightly depressing), my flute teacher kindly informed me that I am going to be performing at a recital, in preparation for my upcoming exam. Not just any recital, definitely not.
My own recital.
Is she crazy??? Yes, the answer to that question is most certainly. Why on earth would she get the impression that I wanted to host my own recital with only "a few guests".
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Celine Dion has started again. Not helping my current state of mind.
In other news, in 2 weeks, we have the Fun Run!!! Hooray for the non-oxymoron!! Of course running is fun...especially with the very attractive school hat we have to wear, if we want to earn an additional point. Unfortunately, I didn't even get to vent at poor, unsuspecting kent victims during house preparation today. Never mind, there's always house choir. Oh joy...
Must now go back to titanic. Ship just got hit with iceberg, and my mind is now occupied by the drama.
Love to all,
Jen
