School certificate is finally over!!! And I never have to look at another maths or science book, ever again! But now I'm left wondering what I should do to fill my time. Actually, I'm wondering how this term has gone so quickly?
I probably should finish (or start) packing my bag, as I am departing from this earth, or country, to be less dramatic, on Sunday. At least my flight isn't until the evening, because I know I'll be madly running around the shops on Sunday morning trying to find a toothbrush.
Now to stop complaining...
Priscilla is being her usual dramatic self. She seems to experience the most sudden mood-swings, going from happy, to excited, to frustrated, to sad, to depressed and back to happy, in the space of about 15 minutes. Still, she is usually happy to invade my personal space and hug me every 10 minutes, usually during pastoral time.
Caely is, well how to describe Caely? She almost missed the start of our computers exam this afternoon, but still strolled in, holding nothing save her school hat. Although I do love her dearly, she does make me very stressed, especially when she cuts deadlines so close.
Penny, Sarah and Bethanie are currently sitting on the train enjoying the drinks they bought at 7/11. I walked to the station with them, but then had to return for the wonderful experience that is CONCERT BAND!!!
Vysheki is running around Gloria Jeans, with no hat on, while sneakily avoiding both prefects and teachers. I could never get away with that, as I always seem to run into (literally) someone I know.
As for Flick and Caitlin, I don't speak the dreaded language of anime, so i haven't got a clue what they are up to.
Anyway, as I am now feeling slightly hungry, I shall go and eat my vegemite sandwich I forgot to eat during lunchtime.
Love to you all,
Jen

How to Win Friends
Well....fun day was had by all today, especially those of you lucky enough to be in the wonderful Kent House.
Today during house time (how we all love it) the first auditions for the annual Inter-House Arts Competition were held. This is a contest in which the 4 houses get to compete against each other in vocal, dance, drama and instrumental sections.
Being Kent's arts officer, it was my job to ensure the auditions ran smoothly, and also to organise the program order, and the voting slips. This was a surprisingly difficult task, as the ladies in the photocopying room aren't always the most co-operative, and there had also been considerable technology issues.
Therefore, I was quite stressed, although this is my usual state of mind, as most people well know. And when I am stressed, I tend to snap at everyone, no matter what they may have done, said or even not have done. So the poor girls who decided to pull out at the last minute were rewarded with a nice tantrum. Actually, ALL of Kent was witness to this, as were a dozen teachers.
All in all, it was a wonderful day, and I have now been rewarded with the title of "mini Miss Robertson", our very small, but extremely intimidating band teacher. I also still have a headache, after slamming my head in the music studio door. Most people stop doing that when they are about 5; 10 years on, and I'm still doing it.
I'm sure the Kent girls are so excited about the prospect of me teaching them and conducting a song next year for the Inter-House Choir Competition...I have just made so many new friends. This would be why I'm so very popular and appealing as a friend.
Still, now that I've finished venting, have a marvelous weekend!
Love to you all,
Jen

Wasting 3 Hours
Hooray for my first blog!!!
Unfortunately, I know I'll never update it, as the only reason I created it is so I can comment on Priscilla's one. Still, it is a giant step forward for me, the girl who is allergic to any kind of technology.
I'm currently sitting in the library waiting for the stupid Scholar's Recital to start. Why do we need a concert anyway? No-one ever comes, and all of the girls who play in the first half go home during interval anyway. As usual, I am almost last in the program, so only Dr Greenhalgh will be a witness to my performance.
Speaking of which, Mr Baldwin is currently sitting behind me, playing chess. By himself, I might add. That would drive me absolutely insane! How does he know which half should win??
Perhaps I should stop wasting time and actually revise for the school certificate....although that might be considered actually making productive use of my time....no, absolutely essentail that doesn't happen. What would people think? My whole reputation would go down the drain!
Anyway, shall go and consider what I'm going to eat for dinner. Big choice: chicken, salad or pasta...how tempting! If I was having dinner at home I would probably be eating a tofu stir-fry!
Love to all,
Jen
